Essilor Vision Foundation

essilor

One in four children in the United States has a vision problem that affects their ability to learn, and many don’t have access to the vision care they need. In an effort to help bridge the gap, Tundra Health Initiative is partnering with Essilor Vision Foundation to participate in the Changing Life through Lenses™ program. This program provides lenses and lab services at no cost, enabling the practice to enhance its charitable giving.

ryan air

Started in 1953 in the small village of Unalakleet, Ryan Air remains a family and native owned company managed by the third generation of Ryan family. In Bush Alaska, where air service is the only way to receive and send furniture, clothing, food, medical supplies and more, the runway is a community’s lifeline. Ryan Air, an Alaska Bush carrier for more than half a century, is a familiar sight in Alaskan villages. Air cargo shipping is our primary business. We have honed our operation around a specialized area of expertise. As a result, we take more freight to more places than any other Bush carrier in Alaska.

Ryan Air supports Tundra Health Initiative’s logistics.

bering air

Bering Air was started in 1979 by Jim Rowe and is still owned and operated by the Rowe family. Based in Nome, Alaska, Bering Air quickly became a trusted agent transporting passengers and freight around rural, Western Alaska. Currently, Bering Air serves 32 towns in Westerns Alaska from hubs in Nome, Kotzebue and Unalakleet along with charters anywhere in Alaska.
